I will transcribe your audio or video into a text file for you. The finished file will be delivered to your email as a RTF attachment.

Transcription services are billed in block of 15 minutes of audio or video time. Each block is charged at $25.00 each. A full hour then costs $100.00.

Any odd amounts over the 15 minute increment bumps the charge up to the next block. Thus, a 50 minute video will be charged 4 times $25.00, or $100.00 total.

Completion Rate:
For audio or video time up to two hours, it will take seven days from the date of receiving the video and down payment to finish your transcription project.
Please contact me for any transcription projects longer than two hours. Completion times for those will be dependent upon my current work load.

Each transcription goes through two revision passes before the set completion date.

Payment terms:
For transcriptions of $100 or less, payment is due before I start the job.
For transcriptions of $125 or more, 50% is due before I start the job, and the other 50% is due when I complete the job.

If you wish to have a simple report created from your file that I have transcribed into text for you, the charge is $75.00 plus the transcription fee. This price is for audio or video files up to 2 hours long that are put into one report. Breaking it up into multiple reports incurs the $75.00 charge for EACH small report created.

Thus, a 2 hour video broken up into two small reports will cost $200 for the transcription fees, plus $150.00 for creating the two small reports, and total bill will be $350.00, with $175.00 as a down payment and balance due at completion of project.

Additional lengths, over the 2 hours of audio or video time, incur additional charges, as project needs dictate.

The report is created in Microsoft Word 2007, with your graphic of choice on the cover page. It will be sent to you as both a RTF attachment and a PDF attachment.

The days established for the completion period begin the day I receive your initial payment.

These terms are explained in a simple letter of agreement that I email to you.
