Handwritten Manuscripts

Creating a text file and simple editing of your handwritten manuscripts is $1.50 per finished page. Each page is equivalent to 300 words, irregardless of the type of formatting used.

Simple editing refers to maintaining proper punctuation and spelling through the manuscript only. Final revision decisions are your responsibility. I will do one proof read pass through the file after I have created it.

Formatting Your Manuscript from a RTF File

I only do electronic versions of manuscript preparation. I accept the files as RTF attachments and return the finished products as RTF attachments.

Formatting rate is based on length of your manuscript.
For manuscripts up to 100 pages, there is a flat $50.00 fee, payable up front.
For longer manuscripts, contact me for a quote. Based on type of formatting you need and the length of time the job will require.

Manuscript preparation work is based on a single market's guidelines or on a standard guidelines, for which we will agree upon the rules for it ahead of time.

Light editing of your manuscript is an additional charge of $0.50 per page. Light editing means simple grammar and punctuation fixes and spellchecking.

Research Services by Diana Cacy Hawkins

Research services for your manuscript is also available. I will gather facts and information pertaining to the topic you're writing on. I can also perform fact checking of details for your manuscript.

Research services are billed at a $50.00 per hour rate, with $100.00 due at the time of our agreement.

I am also available for other needs you may have for your manuscript. Those will be billed at the rate of $50.00 per hour also.

These terms are explained in a simple letter of agreement that I email to you.
